LastPass password manager now available for UC faculty

Manage your passwords with ease and security

The Office of Information Security and Digital Technology Solutions recently launched LastPass for all University of Cincinnati faculty members, offering a streamlined approach to password management with improved security and convenience.

Navigating the complexities of today’s digital world involves the cumbersome task of creating and managing strong, unique passwords for each account. Thankfully, LastPass provides a robust solution that simplifies this process by offering users the ability to:

  • Generate strong, unique passwords: LastPass automatically creates complex passwords for each of your accounts, significantly boosting your security.
  • Block phishing attempts: It ensures your credentials are only used on legitimate sites, which helps prevent you from accidentally entering them on fraudulent ones.
  • Alert you to breaches: LastPass alerts you if your passwords are found in known data breaches, adding an extra layer of security.

By integrating LastPass, UC is reinforcing its dedication to safeguarding digital identities and data.
