Global students thriving at the University of Cincinnati

With a new class of 1,543 for fall 2023—just 4 students short of last fall’s record-smashing intake—the University of Cincinnati’s international enrollment has reached 4,899 students, or 9.6% of the student population. It’s the highest number in UC’s history, up 15% from last year, due in part to UC's strong support for international student success.

Jarrett is president and CEO of Cincinnati-based tech consulting firm Kinetic Vision, a company that has integrated UC co-op students for over 30 years. Jarrett himself got his start at the company through co-op as UC aerospace student in the '90s.

UC alum: From the gridiron to the stars

UC’s growing resources for first-generation students

UC professor wins recognition for scholarship in India’s caste system

UC’s Shailaja Paik has been awarded the 2023 John F. Richards Prize in South Asian History for her book “The Vulgarity of Caste: Dalits, Sexuality and Humanity in Modern India.” Paik is an associate professor of history in the College of Arts and Sciences. Conferred by the American Historical Association, the competitive award recognizes the most distinguished work of scholarship on South Asian History published in English. Applicants are evaluated on the basis of depth of research, methodological innovation, conceptual originality and literary excellence.
