Playbill: CCM ranks in top 10 most represented colleges on Broadway

The University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music has once again been named as one of Playbill’s “Big 10.” Ranked as one of the top star-producing institutions in the nation, CCM was represented by at least 24 alumni performing on Broadway stages during the ’22-23 season.

Cincinnati Magazine: What colleges learned from the pandemic

CCM Musical Theatre has a tradition of welcoming their first-year students with a showcase. However, for the class of 2024, the pandemic had other plans. Determined to make this performance happen, faculty and students adapted to create a virtual performance entitled, “Wake Up,” in which newcomers were featured monologues and performances shot in various locations across Cincinnati.

Broadway World: CCM Musical Theatre alum in national tour of 'Dear Evan Hansen'

Ciara Alyse Harris (CCM Musical Theatre BFA ‘18) spoke with Broadway World about her role as Alana Beck in the national tour of "Dear Evan Hansen." She began as the understudy for Alana and Zoe and was recently reintroduced to the stage as a leading lady in the tour, which is slated to run at the Dayton Live Schuster Center in Dayton, Ohio on March 8-13, 2022.

CCM alums win prestigious grants from the Sphinx Organization

The University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music is thrilled to congratulate alums Titilayo Ayangade (BM Cello, ’14) and Jaime Sharp (MM Voice, ’22) on their recent wins of two MPower Artist Grants from the Sphinx Organization. Available only to alumni of the Sphinx Organization, these competitive grants are intended to “empower artists’ careers.”
