CityBeat recently published its annual Best of Cincinnati® issue, and several CCM programs and performances were recognized in this year's roundup. CityBeat staff awarded CCM "Best Musical Hat Trick" for the combined accomplishments of the musicals "Sunday in the Park with George," "She Loves Me" and "Something Rotten!" CCM's Media Production Division also gained a coveted spot in this year's list of Cincinnati's best sports and recreations offerings, receiving the "Best Student Program With Actual National Exposure" award for the division's innovative Sports Media Production curriculum.

The second episode of CCMONSTAGE Online is now available for on demand viewing. Originally broadcast on Friday, Feb. 12, this 30-minute-long virtual concert features CCM string quartet-in-residence the Ariel Quartet collaborating with master’s degree students Cristian Diaz and Denielle Wilson, who are also both second-year participants in CCM’s innovative Diversity Fellowship initiative with the Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra. The College Gazette recently released its picks for the top 10 universities for the performing arts in the United States. The University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music ranked number two, just behind the University of North Texas and one spot ahead of Indiana University in Bloomington.

The CSO/CCM Diversity Fellowship program provides an immersion into the professional world they all aspire to and the chance to be mentored by some of the best string players in the country. This extraordinary opportunity, funded by The Andrew W. Mellon Foundation, is also about removing the barriers that have previously prevented amazing musicians such as the current class of Diversity Fellows from achieving their dreams. Launched in 2015, the program has accepted four classes of Fellows and will welcome a fifth class in fall 2020.
