All of the Above ensemble of CCM alumni releases debut album

Cincinnati-based contemporary chamber group All of the Above recently released its much-anticipated debut album, Double Portrait, which is available for purchase via Amazon. The album features works by two American composers, Edward Smaldone and UC College-conservatory of Music’s Norman Dinerstein Professor of Composition Scholar Douglas Knehans, and the ensemble itself is comprised entirely of CCM alumni.

CCM shares 2022 alumni and distinguished service awards

UC's College-Conservatory of Music is proud to present alumni and distinguished service awards to outstanding members of our community at the end of each academic year. The 2022 awards are presented to five accomplished alumni and one dedicated patron in a private virtual event as well as during the college's Graduation Convocation Ceremony. Details on CCM's 2022 Graduation Convocation Ceremony, which is scheduled for Friday, April 29, are available online.

View digital programs for upcoming CCM performances

During the 2022-23 performance season, the UC College-Conservatory of Music will continue to offer digital programs for all of its free and ticketed events in place of printed programs. These paperless programs will be available on CCM's website, and they can also be accessed via smartphone/mobile device by scanning the Quick Response (QR) code displayed outside of each CCM performance venue.

CCM faculty featured in roundup of new classical music albums

CCM is home to an international faculty of dedicated educators who are also celebrated professionals in their own right, and two of those faculty members were recently highlighted in a New York Times roundup of notable new classical music albums. Entitled "5 Classical Music Albums You Can Listen to Right Now," the article includes recently released performance recordings featuring CCM Associate Professor of Voice Elliot Madore and CCM Assistant Professor of Cello Sæunn Thorsteinsdóttir.

Learning online: A look at CCM's remote instruction

The University of Cincinnati has moved to remote operations during the COVID-19 pandemic, meaning that classes are now being held online through tools like Zoom, WebEx, Skype and even FaceTime. Although this university-wide transition to remote learning is new, many College-Conservatory of Music faculty members have been hosting virtual video lessons for students all over the world for several years.

WATCH: CCM Media Production wins 5 NATAS Student Production Awards

Students from the Media Production Division at UC's College-Conservatory of Music won five College Student Production Awards from the Ohio Valley Chapter of the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences. CCM Media Production won more awards than any other program, college or university that competed in the Ohio Valley four-state region.
