New summer program at CCM trains the voice, body and mind

Innovative voice instructor Taylor Stilson, LMT, CPT, MM is bringing a new summer program to uC's College-Conservatory of music in July 2022. The Stilson Institute at CCM trailblazes a new connection between historic voice pedagogy, modern sound-inspired modalities, science-based biomechanics and world-class faculty.

CSO Fanfare Project debuts new work performed by CSO/CCM Diversity Fellow

November 16, 2020

The Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra's Fanfare Project launched in May 2020 to commission and premiere new solo works in response to the coronavirus pandemic. It's shared new music from more than 12 composers so far, including a recently premiered Viola Fanfare by Grammy-winner and MacArthur "Genius Grant" recipient Rhiannon Giddens. CCM Doctoral student chosen to judge international violin competition

Junqi (Sophie) Tang, current DMA Violin student at UC’s College-Conservatory of Music was recently invited to serve on a distinguished panel of judges for the 2021 Hong Kong International Violin Competition and Chamber Music Competition. Sponsored by the Asia Musicians Association, the competition attracts performers from all over the world including Germany, Singapore, Japan, South Korea, Russia and more.

Listen: Cincy Playhouse shares CCM audio plays

Each audio play is its own story, and you can listen to these pieces for free in any order you choose. They represent a year-long collaboration that reached into many corners of Cincinnati. Students from all over UC (CCM Acting, Sound Design, Stage Management, Commercial Music Production, Digital Media, and the College of Arts & Sciences’ Fiction PhD program) and local professional writers (YA author Liz Coley and musician, comedian and raconteur Paul Strickland) came together to make something truly special. Paul Strickland's play will be available soon. The Playhouse is assisting CCM by hosting and helping to promote these free audio plays.
