UC Law Alumnae Serve as Judges on Ohio First District Court of Appeals

When Judge Marilyn Zayas took her seat on the bench of Ohio s First District Court of Appeals, she knew she was making history. The UC College of Law alumna became the first Latina to be elected to a judicial post in the state of Ohio in last November s election. She and fellow UC alumnae, Judge Penelope R. Cunningham ( 87) and Judge Beth A. Myers ( 82), now comprise half of the judges on the Southwestern Ohio Appellate Court.

UC Law Students Release Ohio Death Penalty Study

Students from the UC College of Law's Urban Justice Institute released a study of Ohio's death penalty system that argues that serious reform is needed to protect against the possibility of executing an innocent individual.

State Department Forum Features World View on U.S. Policy

A global reaction to the latest developments in the U.S. war on terror and other foreign policy developments will be available when 19 visitors on a State Department-sponsored tour of the United States come to the UC College of Law for a forum on Jan. 31.

Law Library Hosting Reception to Open Art Exhibition

The Marx Law Library will host a reception on Friday, March 7 from 4:30-8:30 p.m. to celebrate the opening of a new exhibition from DAAP alum Fabienne Christenson. The exhibition, "...but you know it when you see it.", runs through July.
