Overnight phone and voicemail maintenance planned before start of fall semester
The University of Cincinnati's Digital Technology Solutions will move phone and voicemail systems to upgraded on-premises infrastructure in the data center prior to the start of fall semester.
The migrations will occur during off-peak hours when use is at its lowest — overnight Sunday into early Monday morning (12-7 a.m.) on July 15, 22 and 29 and Aug. 5.
No interruptions to phone or voicemail service are planned or expected as part of the scheduled migrations.
Phone & voicemail migration schedule
- Monday, July 15: Expressways that support remote phones and Jabber. (E.g. UC-owned phones used to answer calls from an off-campus location)
- Monday, July 22: UC voicemail system.
- Monday, July 29: Call manager servers. (E.g. Desk phone lines)
- Monday, August 5: Call center servers (E.g. On-campus call centers including the IT Service Desk and Enrollment Services)

Integration Episode 1: The Update is a science-fiction drama that was created in the Spring 2018 Capstone Film course (EMED 4003), taught by Electronic Media Division Head Kevin Burke.

Hope After Hate: E-Media professor shares father's Holocaust survival story

Inspired by her own father’s experience, UC College-Conservatory of Music E-Media Professor Hagit Limor set out to create Moniek’s Legacy, a multimedia tool that captures the journey of a Holocaust survivor with lessons to inspire action against future acts of hatred. With support from the CCM Harmony Fund, Limor and 15 students in her fall 2019 Media Topics class will travel to Poland and Germany in October to work on the project.

She has worked behind the scenes of many productions, including CCM Acting's Clybourne Park last month. This spring, Picciuto graduates with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Stage Design, Props and Scenic Art with a specialization in props.
