Overnight phone and voicemail maintenance planned before start of fall semester

The University of Cincinnati's Digital Technology Solutions will move phone and voicemail systems to upgraded on-premises infrastructure in the data center prior to the start of fall semester.

The migrations will occur during off-peak hours when use is at its lowest — overnight Sunday into early Monday morning (12-7 a.m.) on July 15, 22 and 29 and Aug. 5.

No interruptions to phone or voicemail service are planned or expected as part of the scheduled migrations.

Phone & voicemail migration schedule

  • Monday, July 15: Expressways that support remote phones and Jabber. (E.g. UC-owned phones used to answer calls from an off-campus location)
  • Monday, July 22: UC voicemail system.
  • Monday, July 29: Call manager servers. (E.g. Desk phone lines)
  • Monday, August 5: Call center servers (E.g. On-campus call centers including the IT Service Desk and Enrollment Services)
