Hoxworth Blood Center launches “Cheers to Saving Lives” blood drives hosted by Tristate breweries

This holiday season, Hoxworth Blood Center, University of Cincinnati, is raising a glass to life-saving efforts with its “Cheers to Saving Lives” blood drives, happening at Cincinnati's most beloved breweries. From November through January, donors can save lives while earning a t-shirt, brewery discounts and gift cards for their next visit!

Cincinnati’s brewing culture runs deep, and Tristate breweries are stepping up to give back to the community. Hoxworth’s “Cheers to Saving Lives” partners include more than 20 local breweries and bars. Each location offers an exciting opportunity for beer lovers and local business supporters alike to make a tangible difference during the crucial holiday months when blood donations typically slow down. Individuals who donate at these brewery drives will receive a limited edition “Cheers to Saving Lives: One Pint at a Time” t-shirt, plus a special gift from the host brewery.

“As the sole blood provider in the Tristate area, we’re excited to partner with Cincinnati’s amazing breweries to create an event that brings the community together in a meaningful way. These drives not only help us collect the blood our local hospitals depend on daily, but also showcase the vibrant culture of brewing that Cincinnati is known to have,” said Elizabeth Davis, manager of mobile donor recruitment at Hoxworth Blood Center.

The first blood drive date will be Nov. 2 with more dates through November, December and January.

Donating is easy! To schedule an appointment or see the full brewery drive calendar, visit hoxworth.org/groups/brew or call (513) 451-0910.
