Capturing Cincinnati from new heights

UC alum named a top content creator in Cincinnati

A University of Cincinnati graduate was named one of Cincinnati's top content creators of 2024 by the Cincinnati Enquirer.

The newspaper highlighted the amazing drone videography of UC College of Engineering and Applied Science graduate Zak Kauth, who has captured big public spectacles such as the BLINK festival from the air.

Kauth studied mechanical engineering at UC, where he was introduced to his passion for drones.

“I thought drones were just a super cool idea from a technology standpoint,“ Kauth told the Enquirer. “I thought it was cool that you could fly some little device up in the sky and take photos and videos with that. So, when I first got into it, it was just for fun.“

Today, Kauth works for Turner Construction Co. But he shares his aerial exploits on social media, where he has tens of thousands of followers on Instagram.
