UC Alumni Week highlights excellence and engagement
University of Cincinnati alumni are invited to reconnect, reminisce and celebrate the success of fellow Bearcats during Alumni Week.
The UC Alumni Association’s spring spotlight on the University of Cincinnati alumni family highlights their remarkable achievements and enormous impact.
This year’s edition runs April 7 to 13, featuring a range of experiences — from an insightful BEARCATS/Lead event to the 24-hour UC Day of Giving challenge to the traditional Bearcats at the Ballpark evening at a Cincinnati Reds game.
Alumni Week’s cornerstone experience, the UC Alumni Celebration at Cincinnati Music Hall on Thursday, April 10, highlights alumni excellence by recognizing 18 uniquely accomplished Bearcats for their breakthroughs and resulting impact on their university, communities and fields of endeavor.
The Tuesday, April 8, lunch-and-learn edition of BEARCATS/Lead will feature Distinguished University Research Professor Gail Fairhurst, PhD, presenting a talk titled “If I’m Talking, I Must Be Communicating: The Power of Framing.” Fairhurst will focus on the power of language to shape context and impact leadership. Attendees are invited to attend in-person or live online.
The week of events will close with Bearcats at the Ballpark, the UC Alumni Association’s annual night at Great American Ball Park as the Cincinnati Reds take on the Pittsburgh Pirates. A portion of the ticket proceeds will benefit UC. Bearcats are encouraged to purchase tickets in Sections 516 through 519 to enjoy the game with fellow alumni, and to stop by UCAA’s fan hospitality and giveaways in the Fan Zone. An exclusive, complimentary Reds and UC co-branded hat will be available at the ballpark for fans purchasing the first 500 tickets (one hat per ticket, while supplies last).
