UC College of Nursing recognized in U.S. News & World Report's 2025 Best Graduate Nursing Programs rankings

The UC College of Nursing's programs were once again recognized by U.S. News & World Report's 2025 Best Graduate Nursing Programs rankings.

The rankings, based on factors such as graduation rates, academic and career support services and admissions selectivity from surveying programs offered by public, private and for-profit institutions, placed UC’s Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) program at No. 43 in the country, up six positions from last year and ranked among the top 3 in Ohio.

In nursing specialty rankings, the college's Nurse Anesthesia DNP program is ranked No. 7 in the nation, while the Nurse Midwifery Master of Science in Nursing program is ranked No. 36.

The UC College of Nursing was the first in the U.S. to offer a Bachelor of Science in Nursing and remains a nationally recognized institution for its academic standards, technology application and research activity. Today, the college's more than 20,000 living alumni proudly reflect its tradition of leadership and core values as they work to improve health outcomes for individuals and communities around the world.

Future of Nursing 2020-2030 report to be released

The Future of Nursing 2020-2030: “Charting a Path to Achieve Health Equity” is being released on Tuesday, May 11. Greer Glazer, PhD, dean of the University of Cincinnati College of Nursing is one of the 15 people who served on the committee composing the report. The report explores how nurses can work over the next decade to reduce health disparities and promote equity, while keeping costs at bay, utilizing technology and maintaining patient and family-focused care.

College of Nursing online program offers career-changing opportunities

Arna Robins, a College of Nursing student who lives in the Pacific Northwest and worked for years as a flight nurse, went through the Interactive Case Studies program as part of her quest to become a nurse practitioner in order to have a more personal experience with patients.
