Details Announced for Women's Leadership Conference
UC’s annual Women’s Leadership Conference will be held 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Friday, Feb. 28 at the Kingsgate Conference Center. The conference
is sponsored by the Association for Administrative and Professional Women, the Association for Women Faculty and the Commission on the Status of UC Women.
This year a maximum number of registrants was established due to room capacities. So interested UC women should register as soon as possible. It is possible to register for the entire day or either a morning or afternoon half-day. Lunch, refreshment breaks and conference materials are included with both types of registration.
The keynote speakers are Kimberly Ventus-Darks, President of Ventus-Darks Communications, who will explain why “You Have to be Outrageous to be Spectacular,” and Patti Holmes, President of Holmes Training Development, who will talk on “The Spirit of Leadership.”
In addition, there will be focused workshops and breakout sessions on a variety of topics related to personal and professional development. Examples include “Gender Communication at Work,” “Living a Multicultural Life,” Women and Finance: Lessons Your Mother Never Taught You,” and Mapping Your Way to Efficiency.”
