Computer models that can diagnose illnesses based on certain patterns. Computer processes that analyze human eye movement and brain activity to better understand malfunctions in the brain. Computers that can read handwriting. All of these topics represent the work of senior and young scientists at the University of Cincinnati who work in the area of artificial intelligence (AI).
These experts will be meeting at UC with colleagues from across the Midwest for the 14th annual Midwest Artificial Intelligence and Cognitive Science (MAICS) Conference on Saturday, April 12, and Sunday, April 13. The gathering will be hosted by UCs Department of Electrical & Computer Engineering and Computer Science. Conference organizer is Anca Ralescu, UC professor of electrical engineering and computer science.
