Traffic Advice: Students Should Arrive Early
The increase in enrollment and continuing development around campus are expected to put pressure on the parking and traffic situation around the University of Cincinnati for the next several weeks, according to John Hautz, acting director of Parking Services at UC.
The new academic year at UC opens on Wednesday, Sept. 24. Until everyone gets settled in, students are encouraged to come early, Hautz advises.
In trying to minimize the potential for problems, no hourly parking in West Campus garages will be available prior to noon for the remainder of this week and all of next week.
Those non-decal visitors to campus who need hourly parking are advised to use the Eden Avenue garage on East Campus. A new Eden Avenue Garage/CCM Bookstore Express shuttle service will depart every five minutes from the front of the Eden Avenue garage to near the center of West Campus on the CCM Plaza. Stops along the way will be made at the Edwards Center and the Kingsgate Conference Center.
