UC Offers Program For Entrepreneurs

The University of Cincinnati will host information sessions this week to provide more details about a new program called "Cincinnati Creates Companies."

Two sessions will be held:

The first will be Oct. 16 at 5:30 p.m. at the Hamilton County Business Center, 1776 Mentor Avenue in Cincinnati. Refreshments will be provided.

The second will follow on Oct. 17 at noon in Room 610 of University Hall on the UC campus. Lunch will be provided at this event.

If you have a novel technology and would like to turn it into a business, or you are interested in starting a business and looking for a novel technology to take forward, please attend one of the general information sessions to learn more about the Cincinnati Creates Companies program.

Cincinnati Creates Companies is an educational program coupled with hands-on guidance in the development of an investment-worthy business plan, connection to expert and financial resources, and access to a very robust network. Specifically, the program provides comprehensive training that addresses key knowledge, skills and insights needed to be successful in the entrepreneurial arena.

Cincinnati Creates Companies is being offered by UC, in conjunction with its partners BIO/START, Emerging Concepts, Hamilton County Business Center, CincyTech USA and Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center. The program is the result of a grant from the National Science Foundation's Partnerships for Innovation Program.
