My UC Experience: "My aunt knew somone who came to the UC fashion program, and it seemed the best fit for me, a great way to transition to New York from a more familiar, secure base. Co-op [or cooperative education, the practice of alternating academic quarters with paid, professional work experience] really produces students who are fully capable of filling a design position....Beyond the work and academics, college has really opened up my eyes and opportunities. It's not an experience you can get if you quit after high school."
