35 Women Selected for Leadership Program

Thirty-five women, including the first from outside the University of Cincinnati, have been selected to participate in a program that UC initiated to help women advance in higher education. UC’s Women’s Institute for Leadership Development (WILD) has expanded to become the newly formed Higher Education Collaborative for Women’s Leadership Development.

The collaborative will launch Jan. 12 with orientation programs at the six individual Greater Cincinnati campuses providing participants. The first combined session will meet at Northern Kentucky University on Jan. 26 for a presentation by James Votruba, president of Northern Kentucky University.

The WILD program was initiated at UC in 1999 and beginning this month is expanding its newtwork to other campuses in the Greater Cincinnati region. In addition to UC, five other Cincinnati campuses are participating in the program: Cincinnati State, Miami University, the College of Mount St. Joseph, Northern Kentucky University and Xavier University.
