Singer's Performance to Draw on Native American Culture
In her work, folk artist Ginny Frazier draws upon her rich Shawnee Indian heritage that goes back over nine generations in the Ohio Valley area. Inspired by her family's stories, she composes and performs music with captivating melodies - some of which have been featured in Walt Disney's "Pocahontas," as well as on Hollywood Record's releases "Spirit Dance" and "Spirit."
With the help of the band Circles and Arrows and a wide variety of traditional instruments, Frazier shares stories from her Shawnee heritage - mixed with just a little of her German and African American ancestry to round out the concert. She'll perform
