A Statistical Look At The UC Class Of 2004
On Friday, June 11, the University of Cincinnati will graduate 3,923 students. Among the degrees awarded will be:
- 608 associate degrees
- 2,175 bachelors degrees
- 752 masters degrees
- 388 doctoral degrees
The Class of 2004 is largely female. Of the total, 2,181 degrees (56 percent) will be awarded to women and 1,742 degrees (44 percent) will be awarded to men.
The youngest graduate, receiving an associate degree, is 18 years old. The oldest graduate, receiving a bachelors degree, is 64. The youngest recipient of a bachelors degree is 19 years old.
Of the degrees awarded, 467 will be presented with honors, including 229 cum laude (with honors), 155 magna cum laude (with high honors), and 83 summa cum laude (with highest honors).
The graduating class is diverse, with 18 percent representing a minority ethnic group, and 10 percent of the class is African American.
The graduating class of 2004 represents 52 countries and 37 states, plus the District of Columbia.
