Day of Service to Cincinnati
.
The college will participate in the
1000 Hands Project: Rehabilitation of the Pleasant Ridge Community Center Playground
August 20, 2004, 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
All offices in the McMicken College of Arts & Sciences will be encouraged to close that day so that faculty and staff can participate in this community service and college networking opportunity.
We will spend the first half of the day completing the refurbishment of the Pleasant Ridge Community Center Playground, which is still in need of some TLC (repainting, sealing wood, etc.) A catered lunch and some fun picnic activities will be part of the afternoon to help you get to know your McMicken colleagues better. Get ready for the three-legged race and other fun photo ops!
Children and family members are welcome to participate in this worthwhile cause.
Please
RSVP no later than Aug. 6, 2004
by sending the
to Jessica Donovan (556-5087) ML 0037.
Enjoy service to your community with colleagues, family, food, & fun!
Remember to wear your shorts and athletic shoes!
