A Warm Smile

Joel Warm has a smile on his face these days. That’s because his son, Eric J. Warm, has been named “Physician of the Year” at UC’s College of Medicine.

The award is traditionally given to faculty members who have made significant contributions to patients at University Hospital. This year recipients were also chosen for improving the culture of the working environment.

Dr. Warm received his BS in biology

summa cum laude

from McMicken College in 1989 and his MD from UC’s College of Medicine in 1993. He is a member of Phi Beta Kappa and Alpha Omega Alpha, an honor society in the medical school.

He completed his residency in internal medicine at University Hospital, where he served as chief resident in internal medicine prior to being appointed to the faculty of the department of internal medicine. Dr. Warm was recently elected a fellow of the American College of Physicians.
