Twenty-two Finalists for 83rd Annual C-Ring to Be Awarded May 14

The C-Ring award has been given since 1922 to the outstanding graduating senior woman at UC. Over 700 UC women were eligible to be nominated for the C-Ring this year based on their GPA alone. Over 35 women were nominated and 22 were selected as finalists. The finalists are both traditional and non-traditional students – several are parents and one is a grandparent. They represent eight UC colleges – A&S, Engineering, DAAP, CECH, CCM, Nursing, Allied Health and CAS.

This year, 22 women will be considered for the award, which is to be announced at the banquet. Selection criteria include a minimum 3.4 GPA, service to the university and the community and advocacy on behalf of women or girls. UC President Nancy Zimpher will greet the finalists and their families.
