UC Hurricane Katrina Relief Campaign
September 9, 2005
To: The University of Cincinnati community
From: Mitchel L. Livingston
Vice President for Student Affairs and Services
The destruction caused by Hurricane Katrina shocked us by the breadth of widespread tragedy. UC has responded on a variety of fronts. (See http://www.uc.edu/news/NR.asp?id=3074.)
The fastest way to convert contributions into immediate help for Katrina victims is through checks or cash donations. UC students, faculty and staff are encouraged to make their donation now. The UC Hurricane Katrina Relief Campaign begins today and runs until November 1, 2005. All the money raised will be provided to the Red Cross.
As noted in recent memo from President Zimpher, the University of Cincinnati has partnered with Xavier University, Northern Kentucky University, Thomas More College, Cincinnati State, the College of Mount St. Joseph and Gateway Community College in a coordinated effort to bring relief to those impacted by Hurricane Katrina.
You can participate by sending a check, payable to the University of Cincinnati and noting UC Hurricane Katrina Relief Fund, to Mail Location 0638 or through regular mail to University of Cincinnati, UC Hurricane Katrina Relief Fund, P. O. Box 210638, Cincinnati, Ohio, 45221-0638.
You can also drop off your donation - cash or check - in a sealed envelope marked UC Hurricane Katrina Relief Fund at one of these locations:
- Uptown West Campus Night deposit box next to the Cashiers Office, 230 University Pavilion
- Uptown East Campus - College of Medicine, Deans Office, 251 MSB or Medical Center Office of Finance and Administration, 187 HPB
- College of Applied Science Cashiers lock box, on wall outside Room 115, Administration Building
- Clermont College Cashiers Office, Room 145, Student Services Building
- Raymond Walters College One-Stop, 150 Muntz during business hours and in the mail slot across the hall from the library after hours.
Thank you for contributing to the UC Hurricane Katrina Relief Fund.
