Director of College Development Named

Nan J. McCart was recently named Director of College Development at the University of Cincinnati - Clermont College. McCart is a 1992 graduate of UC Clermont and was honored by the college in 2003 as its Distinguished Alumni.

McCart has more than 18 years of experience in fund development with some of the biggest non-profit agencies in Cincinnati including Bethesda Hospital Foundation, Xavier University and Hospice of Cincinnati.

“I am very excited about helping to raise the funds to provide endowed scholarships for students in Clermont County and to further develop the campus,” said McCart. “Equally important will be to establish regular communications with our alumni – something UC Clermont College has never attempted.”

McCart underlined the fact that as the need for additional scholarships grows - Clermont College grows.  “To put this into perspective, we have fewer than 8,000 alumni – that includes both associate degrees and certificates - over a 33-year period. This year alone we anticipate more than 3,500 students on campus.  Obviously the financial assistance Clermont College could offer in the past is a “drop in the bucket” to what is needed now,” said McCart.

“I also want to keep closely in touch with our alumni,” says McCart.  “I remember many of my fellow students from Clermont College, and I wonder where they are and what they are doing.  We will now be sending them a newsletter twice a year and encouraging them to keep in touch.”

McCart lives in Williamsburg and is a life-long resident of Clermont County
