UC Clermont Art Gallery Exhibit Worth a Thousand Words

The UC Clermont College Art Gallery will present “Pixel This: The 2005 Showcase of Digital Photography Students,” January 3 – 6. The exhibit will feature framed versions of students’ final projects from the Autumn Quarter 2005 digital photography class.

Each student will have two photographs featured in the showcase. One will be a single photo with no enhancements in which all special effects were applied by the camera. The other will be a montage of photos, with enhancements applied by the camera and by using Adobe Photoshop software.

“The students in this class have put a lot of time and effort into their work. They were quick learners who went well beyond what was required of them for this project,” said Andrew Curran, assistant professor of multimedia. “The yearly art gallery showcase for this class is a way of rewarding them.”

The UC Clermont Art Gallery is sponsored by First Clermont Bank and open Monday - Thursday 7:30 a.m. – 7 p.m., Friday 7:30 a.m. – 5 p.m. and Saturday 8:30 a.m. – 12:30 a.m. The exhibition is free and open to the public. 2005-2006 season sponsors are First Clermont Bank, The Richard L. and Debbie L. Westheimer Family Fund and Lehr’s Market.
