Felicity Star Signs With UC Clermont Volleyball
The UC Clermont College Volleyball Team has signed a letter of intent with Tiffany Wise, a 56 outside hitter. Wise will join the Cougars for the 2006 campaign.
Wise, the student body vice president and a member of the National Honor Society played for the Felicity-Franklin varsity volleyball team all four years. In addition to volleyball, Wise was also a four-year member of the basketball and softball teams and served as a majorette for three years. Wise played for Coach Damon Smith at Felicity-Franklin High School the same program which produced recent Clermont Athletic Hall-of-Fame inductee Meagan Ooten.
UC Clermont College Head Coach Joe Harpring first noticed Wise during her junior year when he attended a game to look at a couple of Felicity seniors. I didnt know anything about her, but she immediately got my attention, said Coach Harpring. I was impressed with her athletic ability. She was a dominant presence on the volleyball court. Tiffany has the potential to become a solid outside hitter for us during her college career.
Recent Hall-of-Famer and former Felicity volleyball player Meagan Ooten also attended the signing ceremony. She helped welcome Wise to the program. Im thrilled to see more Felicity students coming to play volleyball at Clermont, said Ooten. It will be a nice experience for Tiffany and she will be a great asset to the team.
The addition of Wise enhances a strong recruiting class for the Lady Cougars and should help them remain competitive.
