SATURDAY: UC Volunteers Go Into the Streets to Help Others
University of Cincinnati students, faculty and staff give back to the community as "Into the Streets" gets underway on
Saturday, Oct. 7.
More than 100 volunteers will first meet at 8:30 a.m. in the UC College of Law before heading out to do jobs such as painting, weeding and other service activities in which theyve been advised to prepare to get dirty.

Burnet Woods Park across from UCs West Campus
As many as 40 volunteers will be weeding, planting, mulching and other jobs to clean up and beautify Burnet Woods. -
Drop Inn Center, 217 West 12th St. Downtown
Ten volunteers will paint the inside walls of the shelter as well as interacting and eating lunch with the residents. -
The Womens Connection, 959 Hawthorne Ave., Price Hill
Twelve students will greet, direct and register attendees of the Price Hill Womens Health Fair. Students will also assist with childrens activities and serve breakfast and lunch for fair attendees.
Into the Streets is an annual service event at the University of Cincinnati in which members of the UC community participate together in a day of service. Since the program was launched, Into the Streets, which is coordinated through the UC Center for Community Engagement, has served thousands of people in communities around the Cincinnati area.
The staff at UCs Center for Community Engagement also sends a special thanks to UCs new neighbor for its sponsorship of Into the Streets. The new Panera Bread store on Calhoun Street is providing morning breakfast for the UC volunteers.
