She has a family history with the University of Cincinnati. Her husband Dan graduated from the College of Engineering with a bachelor's of science degree in mechanical engineering in 1959 and her father-in-law, the late Alfred Pfau, graduated from the College of Law.
Mrs. Pfau and her husband, Dan, have supported UCs Institue for Learning in Retirement, the College of Engineering, and the Friends of Womens Studies. Within the College of Education, Criminal Justice and Human Services, she has supported the colleges annual fund, scholarship fund and the African-American Initiative for Math and Science. They have also been a major contributor to the College of Medicines Louis Sacks Memorial Fund.
