UC Clermont College will host approximately 175 girls for  We Are IT conference being held Friday, November 17.

This collaborative initiative of Ohio secondary and postsecondary educators and Ohio business representatives is expected to reach more than 1000 Ohio girls in grades 7- 10. It is being sponsored by the Ohio IT Business Advisory Network and the Office of Career-Technical and Adult Education, Ohio Department of Education.
 
The “We Are IT” event will provide girls with information and experiences related to Information Technology (IT) careers.
 
WHAT: A one-day event providing a broad-based introduction to information technology applications and careers.  Agendas for the events include a variety of small group hands-on activities designed to help participants learn about the application of information technology to the world of work through fun and interactive activities.
 
WHY:  The focus of “We are IT” is on girls because of their continuing under representation in information technology classes and careers.

UC Clermont baseball team wins second national title
