Clermont Prof Shares His Expertise in Germany over Sabbatical

A sabbatical this fall took UC-Clermont Professor of Biology David Fankhauser to Germany, where he worked collaboratively with colleagues at one of that nation's leading veterinary schools.

Fankhauser visited the Freie Universit Berlin, where he worked with faculty from the Institut fur Veterin Anatomie. Fankhauser's project arose from an invitation to come to the university to assist in the translation of Fankhauser's anatomy and histology Web pages into German and to compare and contrast methods of teaching on these topics in Germany versus UC-Clermont .

“I consider the invitation to come and collaborate with them especially an honor since I found out that this is Germany's leading Veterinary College.  Only students in the top 10 percent can even apply for admission,” said Fankhauser.
