Retired Physics Professor's Tiny Torah Comes Back to Earth
The Torah scroll belonging to retired physics professor Henry Fenichel is small but mighty in its scope.
On the heels of a trip to space aboard the shuttle Atlantis, the 4-inch antique Torah continues to bridge generations as well as cultural and religious differences.
It links scientists with ties to the Holocaust to present-day NASA happenings and in the process, brings Fenichel together with the family of Col. Ilan Ramon, who died in the explosion of the Columbia shuttle in 2003.
