Clermont College Hosts Fine Arts Fund Sampler Weekend
UC Clermont College will host nine family-friendly activities from 10 a.m.-6 p.m., Saturday, Feb. 10, as part of the Cincinnati Fine Arts Sampler Weekend. Joining dozens of venues around the Tristate, Batavias UC Clermont College becomes part of Cincinnatis largest free arts festival.
The Fine Arts Fund is dedicated to strengthening the arts for a greater Cincinnati through united fundraising, support services and the responsible investment and allocation of resources. All events listed below are free and open to the community. For more information please call 513-558-1215.
UC Clermont Colleges Fine Arts Sampler Weekend Line-Up:
- 10 -11 a.m. The Seem-To-Be Players (from Lawrence, Kan.) present The Ant & The Grasshopper Krueger Auditorium- Snyder Building
Take a trip through the four seasons in this great Aesops Fable. Science and nature come alive in an educational and entertaining way in this production recommended for the young: three-to-five-year-olds & K-3rd grade.
- 11 a.m.-Noon Food Art Outside Krueger Auditorium
Cookies as art? Why not! This fun event returns, as kids use a cookie as the base of their edible art. - 11 a.m.-Noon Childrens Art Workshop, Peters- Jones Building, Hallway Balcony
Join Professor Kelly Frigard as she teaches children of all ages how to spin wool into yarn. Each child will take home a lamb creation of their very own. - Noon -1 p.m. Storytelling by Sandy Messerly, Peters-Jones Building, Student Lounge
Journey to another time and place as Sandy weaves incredible tales. Listeners young and old will be asked to stretch their imaginations in this workshop. - 1-2:30 p.m. Balloon Animals Outside Krueger Auditorium
Bunnys Balloons will delight children of all ages as they turn balloons into colorful, fun animal shapes - .2:30 -4 p.m. Valentine Workshop, Peters- Jones Building, Hallway Balcony
Create a unique or traditional valentine using a variety of crafts. Your special someone will be happy to receive this valentine message! - 4 -5 p.m. Clermont Philharmonic Orchestra, Krueger Auditorium
Sowash is new? Enjoy music selections written by renowned Ohio composer Rick Sowash. Featuring a special clarinet solo by Angelo Santoro. - 5:30 -6 p.m. Clermont Festival Chorale, Krueger Auditorium
Join the Clermont Festival Chorale for their first performance at the Fine Arts Fund Sampler Weekend. - 10 a.m.-6 p.m. UC Clermont- Park National Art Gallery features painter Nancy Achberger, Snyder Building

Visit the Art Gallery to see the artists study of landscapes and still life in oil paint on canvas. Achberger uses vivid color to capture the essence of nature and humanity.

The University of Cincinnati Clermont College men’s baseball team has taken first place in the 2024 United States Collegiate Athletic Association Small College World Series. The Cougars defeated four-time national champion Penn State Dubois to claim the program’s second title and first since 2013.
