Young named Assistant Dean of Technology and Facilities Services
Steve Young, a long-timer contributor to the success and growth of UC Clermont College, now has a new title assistant dean of Technology and Facilities Services.
As Clermont Colleges director of technology and network management for the past 13 years, Young has been an integral part of steering the college through incredible growth during his tenure. Since joining the college in 1994, UC Clermont has evolved from two buildings to six and enrollment has grown by 43 percent.
"Steve Young has proven himself to be an outstanding manager throughout his tenure with the college and adding the facilities management to his purview is a logical progression in his career and of major benefit to the college. He brings many years of experience with technical operations to the new position which will serve us well," said Dean David H. Devier.
Young has been closely involved in the design and construction of the colleges last four new buildings, working directly with architects and construction teams to ensure that the colleges current and future technology needs were met. He also managed the colleges renovation and move into the Milford, Park 50 location in 2006.
"This new position provides the opportunity for the college to merge two critical and intertwined service areas: technology and facilities management. It has been exciting to work with faculty and staff to create a wonderful learning environment for our students. I am blessed to be in a position that allows me to be creative, innovative and able to help make a difference in other peoples lives," said Young
Prior to coming to UC Clermont, Young brought his corporate experience in information technology with Chiquita Brands International in Cincinnati and Columbia Gas Transmission based in Charleston, W. Va.
