CCM Closes 2006-07 'Take 5' Series with Opera Director Nicholas Muni

Join the Young Friends of CCM this May for the final installment in the 2006-07 Take 5 series of social events with a scholarly twist. Held on the campus of the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music (CCM), Take 5 events offer attendees a chance to grab a glass of wine and relax with friends as CCM's faculty experts and young artists give an insider's point of view on the performing arts, spanning genres from jazz to classical, traditional to contemporary.
The 06-07 Take 5 series wraps on Tuesday, May 1, at 6:30 p.m. with a journey into the larger-than-life world of opera, led by CCM faculty member and renowned opera director Nicholas Muni. Muni discusses the secrets of the art form, incorporating musical excerpts performed by CCM's outstanding young opera artists.
Admission to Take 5 is $15 for the general public and FREE to Young Friends of CCM members, including the discussion session, complimentary wine and light bites. For reservations or additional information, please call 513-556-2100.

The Young Friends of CCM is a group composed of individuals in their 20s, 30s and 40s who are interested in supporting the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music. Membership is open to individuals who donate $35 or more, with current members hailing from a variety of backgrounds, professions and neighborhoods. The Young Friends host events in conjunction with the CCM performance season (September through June), as well as general events to showcase CCM's award-winning facilities and unparalleled range of performances
