Steve Warther obtains pilot certificate

Steve Warther earned his recreational pilot certificate on March 27, 2007. To obtain his recreational certificate, Warther passed an oral and a flight exam with a Federal Aviation Administration designated flight examiner. Warther is enrolled in the Aviation Technology: Professional Pilot Program at UC Clermont College. The laboratory portion of the Professional Pilot Program is taught at the Clermont County Airport.

Warther is the son of Robert and Teresa Warther of Cincinnati. When Warther completes the two-year program, he will earn an associate of applied science degree and a commercial pilot certificate.


Khisha Asubuhi makes her first solo flight

Aviation Technology student Khisha Asubuhi soloed in a single-engine aircraft on April 3, 2007. This was Asubuhi’s first flight as a student pilot without her instructor in the aircraft.

Asubuhi is the daughter of Cynthia and Earnest Tate of Columbus. When Asubuhi completes the two-year program through the University of Cincinnati - Clermont College, she will have earned an associate of applied science degree and a commercial pilot certificate.
