Fifty One Students Inducted in Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society at UC Clermont College

Fifty-one UC Clermont College students were inducted into Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society (PTK) during a ceremony held on campus.  Established in Missouri in 1918, PTK serves to recognize and encourage the academic achievement of two-year college students and provide opportunities for individual growth, leadership and service programming.  The UC Clermont College chapter, Alpha Iota Theta, was founded in 1983.

To be eligible for PTK membership a student must be enrolled in a regionally accredited institution offering an associate degree program; complete at least 12 hours of coursework leading to an associate degree program (part-time students may be eligible) and  have a grade point average of 3.5.

Words of encouragement to the new members were offered by members of the UC Clermont College administration including Dean David Devier, Assistant Dean of Enrollment and Student Services Peggy Chalker and Associate Dean of Academic Affairs Victoria Hammer.

A reception was held following the ceremony where the new members were greeted by family, friends, and PTK advisors.  For more information, contact the UC Clermont College chapter advisors, Bruce Davis or Bill Wise at 513-732-5200.
