Oct. 8: NSF Representative to Address the Role of Evaluation

The University of Cincinnati Evaluation Services Center (ESC) invites the university community to a reception and presentation marking the center’s 10th anniversary at 3 p.m., Oct. 8, in the UC Faculty Club (Room 850, Richard E. Lindner Center).

As part of the anniversary celebration, Elmima Johnson, program director in the Division of Research on Learning at the National Science Foundation, will share her perspectives about evaluation not only as a requirement for accountability but as a tool to help improve research and programs in her speech entitled, “The Academic and Political Realities of Evaluation.”

The ESC, housed in UC’s College of Education, Criminal Justice, and Human Services (CECH), provides customized evaluation, assessment and research support for organizations on the university, community, state and national levels that are dedicated to education and education-related human services.
