A Statue Takes Shape: Agenda for Unveiling of Herman Schneider Sculpture

Last year, to celebrate the University of Cincinnati’s global founding of cooperative education in 1906, UC established the Herman Schneider Quad on campus.

This fall, the quad will be complete with the placement of a statue of Herman Schneider at the east end of the quad in front of Baldwin Hall. The statue will be unveiled on Oct. 10, in ceremonies to begin at 10:15 a.m.

    Remarks by UC College of Engineering Dean Carlo Montemagno.

  • 10:25 a.m.
    Remarks by Kettil Cedercreutz, director of UC’s Professional Practice (co-op program).

  • 10:30 a.m.
    Remarks by artist Anna Christoforidis.

  • 10:35 a.m.
    Remarks by UC President Nancy Zimpher.

  • 10:40 a.m.
    UC co-op student Elise Keeler unveils the Herman Schneider statue.
