Record Enrollment at UC Clermont

UC Clermont is celebrating its 35th anniversary with a record enrollment of 3,000 students – the largest in the history of the college – marking a 5 percent increase from the previous fall.

“I am very excited about the growth this year at Clermont College as we welcome our largest class ever. It is hard to calculate the amazing number of years of education we have provided Clermont County residents as we enter our 35th year,” said James F. McDonough, interim dean at UC Clermont College.

The college opened in 1972 with an enrollment of fewer than 300 students in a 77,984-square-foot building that is now known as the Edith Peters-Jones Building.

Clermont College, a regional campus of the University of Cincinnati, offers 32 associate degrees and 25 certificate programs in a wide range of subjects. The college hosts seven bachelor degree completion programs and graduate education courses in cooperation with the UC Uptown Campus.

Serving residents of Adams, Brown, Clermont, Hamilton, Highland and Warren counties, the 91-acre campus is located in Batavia Township in the center of Clermont County. Clermont College is an open-admissions institution, providing access to higher education to anyone with a high school diploma or equivalency.
