UC Clermont s Calico Children s Theatre Opens Season with Mystery at Frogwarts & New Calico Creativities Workshops

UC Clermont College will kick off its children’s theatre series with Mystery at Frogwarts on October 19 at 7 p.m. and October 20 at 10 a.m. presented by Random Acts of Toledo. 

 

Something strange is afoot at Frogwarts’ School of Magic… and it has enormous FEET! Will our heroes pass their tests and graduate?  Will they beat the bad guys?  Will they need a pedicure when they’re through?  Join our heroes, Perry Spotter, Germoine Ranger, Don Measley and solve the mystery!

Recommended Ages: Grades K – 8

 

Calico Children’s Theatre is a UC Clermont College community initiative geared towards families with children ages 3-12 years of age. Tickets prices are $6 for adults and $4 for children, seniors and UC Clermont Students. Performances will take place in the Krueger Auditorium.

 

New Calico Creativities Workshop

 

UC Clermont College announces its newest line-up of workshops -- Calico Creativities.

 

These creative workshops are designed to compliment each performance of Calico Children’s Theatre and engage children and parents through the artistic learning process. 

Attendance at the performance is not required to register for a workshop. 

The cost of each workshop is $4 per child. 

 

Animal Body Language presented by Random Acts

October 20, 2007- 11:15 a.m.    

Location- Krueger Auditorium

 

Kids, join this workshop and be an ANIMAL!  Children can explore the art of improvisation by becoming different animals.  Participants will be selected to join professional actors on stage.  Starting with the voice, adding in movement and ending with a lot of fun as a new character is created.  Whether participating on stage or at your seat a good time will be had by all.  Great for promoting self-image and self-expression!

Recommended Ages: Grades K – 5

 (Maximum attendance is 100)

                       

*There is standing room for parents at all workshops.  If a parent would like to be seated next to their child workshop pricing will apply.
