CCM's Seventh Annual 'A Moveable Feast' a Buffet of Sensory Delights
The University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music (CCM) overflows with artistic and culinary delights at the seventh annual "A Moveable Feast," taking place Friday, Jan. 25, 2008 at 6:30 p.m.
Presented by the Friends of CCM, "A Moveable Feast" provides attendees a unique look at the impressive scope of programs and extraordinary caliber of CCM's artists. Guests are invited to enjoy dinner by the bite throughout the CCM campus while sampling an eye-popping roster of student and faculty performances in a variety of disciplines, from musical theater and orchestral music to jazz and dance. Guests may also peek behind the curtain during tours of the scenery, costume, lighting design and electronic media studios.
The newest twist to this year's Feast is "Talents & Treasures," a silent auction featuring goods and services donated by CCM's multi-talented faculty. Up for bid are a walk-on role in a CCM musical theater production, a chance to conduct the CCM Philharmonia, private Pilates instruction by CCM dance faculty, and more!
Budget-friendly pricing encourages audiences of all ages to enjoy "A Moveable Feast": attendees in their 20s will pay $25, 30-somethings pay $35, 40-somethings pay $45, and all others, affectionately called "The Rest of Us," pay $75. Proceeds of the event support financial assistance programs, scholarships and career development opportunities for CCM students.
Bonus event! Also new this year is "Nite Bite," a hip, cool extension of the Feast. This special after-party hosted by the Young Friends of CCM begins at 9:30 p.m. and runs until 1 a.m. in CCM's Dieterle Vocal Arts Center (on the CCM campus). Nite Bite features special drinks, food bites, dancing and more great entertainment. Guests at A Moveable Feast are invited to shimmy over for more fun, or individuals may attend Nite Bite only. Admission to Nite Bite is $25 (when purchased in addition to Moveable Feast tickets or when purchased online in advance) and $30 (at the door).
Valet parking is available for A Moveable Feast with additional parking in the CCM Garage at the base of Corry Boulevard off Jefferson Avenue. To order tickets or find more information, visit www.ccm.uc.edu/feastrsvp or call 513-556-5000.
