Clermont County Commissioner s Candidate Forum to be Held at UC Clermont College

UC Clermont College and the League of Women Voters, Clermont County will be co-hosting a candidate forum for the Clermont County Commissioner’s race on Feb. 7, from 7-9 p.m., in the college’s Krueger Auditorium.

All registered candidates have been invited to participate that met the Clermont County Board of Election’s filing deadline on Jan. 4, 2008. Admission is free and the event is open to the public.

“We highly encourage the community to participate in this forum. The moderator will field questions to the candidates directly from the audience - so this will be a highly interactive political forum,” said Cyndy Wright, president of the League of Women Voters, Clermont County.

The Moderator for the evening will be a member of the Cincinnati Area League of Women Voters.

Write-in candidates may also participate in candidate’s forum if they meet the following criteria: a) they failed to meet a filing deadline due to no fault of their own; and b) they are a serious candidate supporting their efforts with appropriate campaigning and campaign support materials; and c) they must have contacted either Cyn Macke, the league's vice-president at isaacmacke@fuse.net or Cyndy Wright, president at chwright@parknationalbank.com or 513-284-1453, 48 hours prior to the forum to request the opportunity to participate.
