Andy McCreanor Named Distinguished Alumnus

Andy McCreanor was honored with the Distinguished Alumnus Award at a luncheon held at UC Clermont College April 10 for scholarship recipients and donors.

 

McCreanor told students that his educational career began at UC Clermont College and served as a foundation for his banking career and community service. He encouraged students to “continue working hard and give back to their community.”

 

“Andy is an asset to our community. He plays a vital role as a leader and volunteer. We are honored to have him as a distinguished alumnus of UC Clermont College,” said Dean James F. McDonough of UC Clermont College. 

 

 

Following 35 years in banking and finance, McCreanor currently consults with clients concerning strategic planning, financial strategy and marketing projects.  He serves on the Board of United Way of Greater Cincinnati, is vice chair of the Clermont Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors and is the chairman of the Economic Development Corporation of Clermont County. In addition, McCreanor serves on the Advisory Council and Campaign Leadership Committee for UC Clermont College, the United Way Eastern Area Action Council, Clermont Senior Services Board and The Clermont Fund-Greater Cincinnati Foundation Board.

 

McCreanor attended UC Clermont College in the early 1980’s as an accounting major and later received his Bachelor of Arts degree in management and marketing from Wilmington College.  He also holds diplomas from the American Institute of Banking, Retail Banking and Organizational Management, The Bankers Association’s Retail Credit School at the University of Colorado.

 

McCreanor is also a past recipient of Clermont 20/20’s William H. Over Leadership Award and the Edward J. Parish Pacesetter Award from the Clermont Chamber of Commerce.

UC Clermont baseball team wins second national title

The University of Cincinnati Clermont College men’s baseball team has taken first place in the 2024 United States Collegiate Athletic Association Small College World Series. The Cougars defeated four-time national champion Penn State Dubois to claim the program’s second title and first since 2013.
