CCM Dance Students Soar in 'Swan Lake' May 30 & 31

The University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music (CCM) Dance division closes the 2007-08 season with the most revered of classical ballets,

Swan Lake

. Performances take place May 30 and 31 in CCM's Corbett Auditorium.

A narrative ballet in four acts, Swan Lake is the enchanting tale of a prince who falls in love with the Swan Queen, a princess who has been turned into a swan maiden by an evil sorcerer. A swan maiden can only become human again when she receives a man's undying love. Complete with festivity, magic, drama and tragedy, the ballet ends with love triumphant.

CCM's 2008 production of Swan Lake is the largest-scale presentation in the Dance division's 34-year history, featuring sets from Ballet Met (Columbus, Ohio), costumes from Ballet Arizona, and the CCM Concert Orchestra performing Tchaikovsky's glorious score.
