NSF Grant Enables Digital Outreach

The University of Cincinnati College of Engineering hosted high-school students from Cincinnati Public Schools (CPS) as they studied the works of Harlem Renaissance artists in a computer lab. Then the students took photos on a walking tour around UC and constructed original digital artworks using Adobe Photoshop in the digital media studio at the Cincinnati Arts and Technology Center (CATC).  The art show is the culmination of their efforts.

Where:

Tangeman University Center, third floor, outside the Express Mart

The workshop was part of a National Science Foundation grant for "Broadening Participation in Computing."

UC’s microchip training includes innovative VR

To build a virtual microchip factory, University of Cincinnati doctoral students turned to the real one where they work. UC launched a new training program for microchip manufacturing in advance of the new fabrication plant Intel Corp. is opening in Ohio.
