UC Clermont College Hosts Community Wellness Fair

UC Clermont College will host a Community Wellness Fair from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. on Wednesday, November 5, in the Student Lounge. 

 

This event is free and open to the public. “Join us in learning ways to improve your health” said Sharman Wilmore Director of Allied Health Programs at UC Clermont. For more information about the Community Health Fair please contact 513-732-5339.

 

UC Clermont students, from a variety of programs, will be on hand to offer free health screenings including blood pressure, lung volume and more. 

 

Register to attend one of three introductory yoga sessions in the Krueger Auditorium.  Yoga sessions will be conducted at 12:30 pm, 1 pm and 1:30 pm.  Call 732-5200 to register.  UC Clermont College hopes to offer this wellness activity on a regular basis in the future.

 

There is also an opportunity to learn about motorcycle safety with demonstrations in the East parking lot just outside of the Student Services and Educational Services buildings.

 

Hoxworth Blood Center will be at the wellness fair booking appointments for the upcoming blood drive scheduled at UC Clermont College on Monday, November 10, from 9 a.m. -  3 p.m.

 

UC Clermont College programs and services represented will include:  Disability Services and Counseling Offices, EMS, Medical Assisting, Respiratory Care,  as well as UC College of Nursing, UC Public Safety, UC Wellness Center, UC Women’s Center

 

Also participating are local and regional agencies such as:  Hoxworth Blood Center, National Alliance for Mental Health, STOP AIDS Cincinnati, Nutrition Council, Mercy Hospital Clermont, Clermont County General Health District, Clermont Metropolitan Housing Authority, Clermont Senior Services, Families Connected of Clermont County, Clermont County MRDD, Clermont Recovery Center, Clermont Family YMCA, Clermont Help Me Grow, Brown County Recovery Services, A Caring Place Pregnancy Help Center, Connections:  A Safe Place and 4C for Children.
