Tasty Fall Tradition Marks a Decade

The aroma was wafting up to Varsity Village, as the 10th annual fall barbecue hosted by the UC College of Education, Criminal Justice, and Human Services (CECH) got underway with CECH Dean Lawrence J. Johnson behind the grill. In just a couple of hours, an event that was months in the planning was enjoyed and devoured to the last morsel.

The event took place on the lawn between Teachers College and the College of Law. The tradition features Dean Johnson’s homemade barbecue sauce, dressings and marinades. The volunteers who served up the lunch included 65 CECH faculty, staff, students and friends of the college.
