Lykins Oil Companies Establishes UC Clermont College Scholarship

Lykins Oil Companies, a provider of superior quality and sound carrier services for today’s petroleum industry and petroleum end users, has established a $1,000 scholarship for UC Clermont College students residing in Clermont and Brown Counties for the 2009-2010 academic year.

 

"We believe the students we invest in today will be our future employees of tomorrow.  It’s important for us to support the community, and personally for me to give back to the college I attended,” said Jeff Lykins, President of Lykins Oil Companies.

 

Lykins attended UC Clermont in 1980s.  In addition to the newly established scholarship with the college, Lykins Oil Companies also awards scholarships to local high schools and partners with community organizations. 

 

“Jeff continues to give back to the community and we’re pleased to have him include Clermont College in his generosity,” said James McDonough, Dean of UC Clermont College.

 

Lykins is a family owned and operated business, started in 1948 by Guy ‘Bandy’ Lykins.  The company is currently in its third generation of management.
