Celebrating National Poetry Month at UC Clermont
In celebration of National Poetry Month UC Clermont College will be hosting a poetry reading featuring Poet Maya Pindyck and open microphone on April 13 from 2 3:30 p.m. in the Art Gallery. A reception will immediately follow the readings. The event is open to the community.
Pindyck is the author of the chapbook,
Locket, Master
which won a Poetry of Society of America Chapbook Fellowship in 2006. She is the recipient of the Bellingham Reviews 49 Parallel Poetry Award and her poems have appeared in
elimae, Mississippi Review, Sink Review, and Sycamore Review
. Her latest book,
Friends Among Stones
, New Rivers Press, will be published soon. Pindyck holds a master of fine arts from Sara Lawrence College and lives in Brooklyn, NY.
